Eighth Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament Presented by Builders Insurance Group Raises $50,000 for Kids’ Chance of GA, Inc!

Although we were unable to hold the 8th Annual Charity Classic due to inclement weather, the generous support of our sponsors and donors made it possible to raise $50,000 in charitable contributions this year!  All of this year’s funds will go to support Kids’ Chance of Georgia, Inc. in its mission of providing educational scholarships for the children of Georgia workers who have been catastrophically injured in work-related accidents.

The tremendous success of the Charity Classic, especially in light of having to cancel the event twice due to circumstances out of our control, is truly a testament to the unwavering dedication and giving spirit of its loyal and very generous participants.  We offer our deepest gratitude to all of the sponsors, golfers, donors and event volunteers for your commitment and efforts.  We also wish to provide special recognition to our Platinum $5,000 Sponsors: Guy Carpenter; Lowendick, Cuzdey, Erhmann, Wagner, Stine, Sansalone & Bobe LLC; and Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele.

In a statement to our donors, Forrest Hale, Executive Director of Kids’ Chance had this to say, “On behalf of our students and families, Board of Directors and staff, let me say ‘Thank You’ for the 2009 Charity Classic donation of $50,000.  This donation far exceeds any anticipated contribution and brings the total donated since 2002 through Builders Insurance Group events to $310,250.”

He continued, “Everyone has dreams for their future.  When life events result in obstacles for a parent to aid their child in reaching their dreams, Kids' Chance is able to help through your generosity.  What further legacy could we hope, than to help provide opportunity for a young person to achieve more than they thought possible.”

Since 2002, Kids’ Chance of Georgia, Inc. has distributed funds raised by Builders Insurance Group’s Charity Classic to more than 70 deserving young people who have gone on to positively impact our communities through their careers as teachers, doctors, lawyers and more.
