Builders Insurance (a Mutual Captive Company) is the flagship insuring entity of Builders Insurance Group. As a “Mutual Captive", Builders Insurance Group is able to write several lines of business in multiple rating tiers to write exposures that are located in Georgia only. If you are a policyholder of Builders Insurance and would like the most recent audited financials for our company, we will be happy to send that upon your written request and receipt of a signed confidentiality agreement. Association Insurance Company (AIC), formerly Jefferson Pilot Property and Casualty Company, was acquired by Builders Insurance Group in 1999. AIC is a stock insurance company domiciled in Georgia. Today, AIC writes non-construction workers’ compensation in Georgia as well as construction workers’ compensation and general liability in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Beginning in 2009, construction Workers’ Compensation became available in Pennsylvania. In these states, we also provide programs for contractors in light commercial construction and for professional roofers.
Vinings Insurance Company (VIC), formerly known as Tyvola Insurance Company, was acquired by Builders Insurance Group in 2003. VIC is a stock insurance company domiciled in South Carolina. VIC writes workers' compensation and general liability in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Beginning in 2009, construction Workers’ Compensation became available in Pennsylvania. In these states, we also provide programs for contractors in light commercial construction and for professional roofers.
