Celebrating Nurses: Honoring the Impact of Nurse Case Managers at Builders
This month, in honor of National Nurses Week, we recognize the vital contributions of nurses around the world. At Builders, we are especially proud to celebrate our exceptional team of in-house Nurse Case Managers. These licensed medical professionals bring extensive clinical experience from specialized settings such as emergency rooms and critical care units. Their expertise plays a crucial role in ensuring injured workers experience the compassionate care for which Builders is known.
We do this work because we are driven by a passion to help people. Our dedicated team of nurses often receives thank-yous from families, grateful for the thoughtfulness and dedication put into helping the injured worker. It’s wonderful to hear the positive feedback, and it makes us proud to be part of the Builders team.

Our Nurse Case Managers collaborate with Claims Adjusters to support injured workers by helping them understand and navigate the medical aspects of the recovery process. While Claims Adjusters manage the overall claim, Nurse Case Managers provide clinical support that informs the claims process. Nurse Case Managers do not direct care; treatment decisions are solely made by the authorized treating physician. The nurse’s role is to offer medical insight that enhances coordination and supports the injured worker and their family.
The workers’ compensation process can be complex. Our Nurse Case Managers help coordinate communication and provide support to injured workers as they move through their recovery. They do this through high-touch, consistent communications with all stakeholders — including injured workers, providers, employers, physical therapists, and claims adjusters — to support safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.
Our goal is to ensure injured workers receive the care necessary for recovery and are able to return to their lives and work. As recovery progresses, we work with employers to accommodate any restrictions imposed on the worker by the authorized treating provider. Research consistently shows that injured workers who return to work — even in a light-duty or modified capacity — tend to experience shorter disability durations, improved functional outcomes, and a lower risk of long-term work loss.
