Katherine Kyle Promoted to Senior Vice President/Chief People Officer
We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Katherine (Kat) Kyle from VP of People Strategy to Senior Vice President/Chief People Officer, which took effect on June 1.
With approval of this promotion by our Board of Directors, Kat will serve as an official member of the executive leadership team that shapes our strategy.

It’s no small secret that the insurance industry is currently facing a significant talent gap, leading to fierce competition as carriers and agencies also grapple with high turnover rates. This churn doesn’t just affect our internal dynamics—it directly impacts the service experience we provide to our agents, policyholders, morale, and every aspect of operations.
To win this talent war, we require innovative, strategic, and creative solutions. By initially hiring Kat, we invested in a strategic leader who will devise and implement these solutions, ensuring we consistently attract and retain the best and brightest in the industry.

In Kat, we’ve gained a dedicated expert who will lead efforts to foster a connected workforce and uphold a consistent, empowering culture.
Answering the call as a newly minted Chief People Officer, Kat will work closely with senior executives to ensure our people strategies and operations align seamlessly with overarching business objectives and growth trajectory.
In her former role as Builders VP of People Strategy, Kat led her team to achieve remarkable successes by creating a comprehensive framework for professional development. This included establishing a tailored process for leadership assessment and development, as well as creating a robust talent onboarding program. In her new role, she will continue to assess and refine our people initiatives and culture, ensuring support and growth for employees at all stages of their professional journey.
Kat’s extensive experience in human resource leadership spans a continuum from high growth start-ups to public and multi-national organizations including manufacturing, technology—and even insurance, which lands close to home for all of us.
Kat is a graduate from the University of Tennessee with 30 years’ experience in the human resources field. Before joining Builders, she served over a decade at Georgia Gwinnett College culminating in her role as Vice President of Human Resources and Chief of Staff.
